Harry Compier is a self-taught artist who just started painting watercolors a few years ago. He was born in Shannon (west coast of Ireland) hence his love for space and tranquillity. He can still taste and smell the salty air when he thinks of Ireland. When he lived in Lelystad (the Netherlands) sharing his life with his wife and 3 children, working as a telecom specialist, he started to paint. The lowland of Flevoland with it's beautiful cloudy skies have always been an inspiration to him. Other inspirations are flowers, especially poppies, and animals, in particular dogs and horses, but this list is expanding rapidly. Since his recent move to Szakácsi (small village in the North-East part of Hungary) he again found the space and tranquillity he now wants to reflect in his art. Take a look in the Gallery.
